IAPS National Netball Finals 2026
Huge congratulations to our U12 girls who finished 3rd place at the IAPS National Netball Finals.
Bromsgrove started the day in outstanding fashion, winning all four group-stage matches with confidence and control. Victories over Cumnor House (15–3), Westbourne House (10–5), Millfield (11–4) and St Faith’s (15–5) saw the girls top their group and progress into the Cup quarter-final.
In the quarter-final, Bromsgrove continued their excellent form with a commanding 13–6 win against the host school, Cranleigh, securing a place among the top four IAPS schools in the country. The semi-final against Heath Mount School was always going to be a tough and feisty encounter. The game went goal for goal, with Bromsgrove edging ahead at times, but Heath Mount narrowly took the win in a physical contest.
Disappointed but undeterred, the girls regrouped superbly for the 3rd/4th play-off against Taunton School. Fatigue was beginning to show and the physicality of the opposition posed challenges, yet Bromsgrove’s clean, skilful netball kept them in the contest. At full time the scores were tied at 6–6, leading to five minutes of extra time. Still level, the match went into golden goal at 10–10.
With Taunton taking the centre pass, a brilliant interception from Harriet proved decisive, allowing Bromsgrove to move the ball calmly into the attacking circle where Imogen showed great composure to score the winning goal.
A truly outstanding achievement and very well-deserved bronze medals for: Eilidh B, Olivia F-J, Imogen L, Venise M, Nia R, Camille W, Harriet W and Matilda W.
An exceptional performance on the national stage and a day the girls can be immensely proud of.
